Ustream webcam video streaming fix for Ubuntu 9.10

Setting up Ustream on my android phone was as easy as downloading the application from the market, but when i tried to stream live video from my laptop in Ubuntu 9.10 I didnt see any video or audio on the broadcast (see attached photo). It took a bit of googling but i found the solution and it was an easy fix.

By default Adobe denies websites from accessing your webcam and microphone so that you dont accidentally send embarrassing videos to youtube or the like. While they used to prompt you if the site requests controls it seems something is rotten in the current state of Denmark.

The good news is that you can fix it relatively easily by going to the Adobe Flash Settings page and editing your settings to "allow" the ustream domain to access the webcam and microphone. Thats It. Hope this helps someone. Let me know.
